Karen Frost

Karen is Director and founding owner of Values Based Leadership (VBL), established in 2001. With over two decades of experience, she helps boards, senior leaders and teams build leadership capability, strengthen culture and improve performance. She designs and leads practical leadership development, team and manager programmes that create clarity, alignment and stronger ways of working. Karen brings real business experience, an MBA, an Advanced Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring, and a coaching supervision qualification from Oxford Brookes. She is known for her calm authority, clear frameworks and values-first approach.

Jonathan Orr

Jonathan is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the energy and engineering sectors. His career has seen him working with a number of prominent global organisations across diverse roles. Jonathan's background in engineering paved the way for his transition into product marketing, where he also achieved Chartered Marketeer status.

In recent years, Jonathan has harnessed his exceptional management skills to offer comprehensive consultancy services to a range of private equity firms and startup manufacturing companies. He brings broad and extensive knowledge and expertise to VBL, enriching the team with his skills and experience.

Coach/Facilitator

Helena Day

Helena brings 25 years of leadership development experience across the public and private sectors. She is known for helping individuals and teams unlock potential, build confidence and improve performance. Her background includes leadership development within Northamptonshire Police Service, where her contribution was formally recognised.

Today, Helena works with middle and senior leaders across a range of sectors, helping them strengthen working relationships, navigate challenge and grow their impact. She is an ILM Level 7 Executive Coach, a practitioner in Lumina Spark and FIRO-B, and a long-standing member and volunteer mentor with the Chartered Management Institute.

Office & Finance Manager

Gemma Brown

Gemma is your initial point of contact at VBL, overseeing all aspects of our operations and logistics. 

Before joining Values Based Leadership, Gemma developed a solid foundation in administration, she has undertaken roles in financial services, fostered youth development at Camp America, managed educational operations and provided essential oversight of care for adults with developmental disability.

Gemma plays a pivotal role in guaranteeing the seamless operation of VBL.

Michael Croxall

Michael has extensive background in the financial services industry undertaking global, regional and country management roles across IT Service Management, Unified Communications, Cybersecurity, Risk, Governance, Operational Management and Transformation. 

More recently Michael has been a member of the  leadership team within a leading Real Estate and Facilities Management company.

Throughout his career, Michael's passion for fostering growth and success in others has been a guiding force, seeking to empower individuals to reach their full potential and flourish. This journey has led him to embrace coaching and leadership development  enabling him to play a pivotal role in nurturing and advancing businesses to achieve their goals.
